Hygienist

Dr John Stanfield is a very experienced Dental Hygienist with over 40 years in the business.  He accepts patients directly and from other dental practices.

He has lectured widely throughout the UK and written many articles for the dental press and dental journals and was the editor of a dental journal for a number of years.

John was the Chair of the Faculty of Dental Hygiene & Therapy and a council member of the College of General Dentistry until June 2023.

His other interests are in Teaching and Learning with an emphasis on the use of Technology. He has studied computing at Oxford, gained an MSc in E-Learning Technology from Portsmouth, a PG Cert in Teaching and Learning in the Clinical Environment from Edgehill and has gained PhD in Technology Enhanced Learning at Lancaster.  

He has gained his Fellowship of Higher Education Academy and is an Associate Fellow of the College of General Dentistry.

John is a judge in the Clinical Dental Awards.
